MULTIPLY THE FIRST EQUATION BY 3 & THE SECOND EQUATION BY 2 & THEN ADD.
12X-6Y=126
10X+6Y=50
-------------------------------
22X=176
X=176/22
X=8 ANSWER.
4*8-2Y=42
32-2Y=42
-2Y=42-32
-2Y=10
Y=10/-2
Y=-5 ANSWER.
PROOF:
5*8+3*-5=25
40-15=25
25=25
