You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The given equation is:

y = -2x + 4 and

y = 1x + 2

Subtracting both the equations we get:

-3x + 2 = 0

-3x = - 2

3x = 2

x = 2%2F3

Now by back substitution in one of the equations we get:

y = 1(2/3) + 2

y = 2/3 + 2

Taking LCM, we get:

y = 8/3

==> y = 8/3

Thus, the solution.
