Question 12325: y=5x-2
Answer by elima(1433) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=5x-2
Start by making a table:
x | 0| 1| 2
-------------
y |
Choosing values for x, plug in the equation the values you chose for x to find what y =.
EX.
y=5(0)-2
y=-2
x|0|1|2
---------
y|-2|
So when x=0, y=-2
Next:
y=5(1)-2
y=3
So when x=1, y=3
x|0|1|2
--------
y|-2|3|
Now you have 2 points (0,-2) (1,3)
Lets do one more:
x=2
y=5(2)-2
y=8
Now you have your third point (2,8)
Now you can graph the equation.
