Question 12289: 9(x+3)=4x-3

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
9(x+3)=4x-3
First you will distribute the 9*x+9*3
you get: 9x+27=4x-3
Now you want to get the x's on one side, and the whole numbers on the other.
So you will begin by subtracting both sides by 4x,
9x+27-4x=4x-3-4x; that cancels out the 4x on the right side;
5x+27=3; now subtract both sides by 27; 5x+27-27=3-27
5x=-30; now divide both sides by 5; 5x/5=-30/5
x=-6
We got it!Hope you understand! =)
