Calculate the product of the tractive force, 1460 N by the speed expressed in m/s,

which is   = 12.5 m/s.


So, the power to overcome the tractive force is  1460*12.5 = 18250 joules/s = 18250 watts = 18.250 kWt.    ANSWER
