SOLUTION: Hi!
I have a linear equation question that says to solve for y. When I did the problem I got y=(ba-bx)/a but I'm not sure that is correct. the equation says:
(x/a)+(y/b)=1

You can put this solution on YOUR website! x/a + y/b = 1 multiply both sides times a and b
ab(x/a) + ab(y/b) = 1
on the left a cancels a and on the right b cancels b, and you get:
bx + ay = 1
