Adult + Children = 360

A     + C        = 360


A     + (A-100)  = 360


2A - 100 = 360  ====>  2A = 360+100 = 460  ====>  A =  = 230 is the number of adults.


Then the number of children  was  230 - 100 = 130.


Check.  130 + 230 = 360.
