Answer.  11  and 44 years.

Solution.

5 years ago the sum of their ages was 45  ===>  now it is 45 + 2*5 = 55.

So we have two numbers, the sum is 55 and one is 4 times the other.
Hence, the numbers are 44 and 11 (easy mental exercise).

Solved.
