options2: No monthly fee but $6.50/hour for court rental
Let x = hours per month of court rental time
a)Write a mathmatical model representing the total cost, C, in terms for x for the following:
option 1: C=____________
option 2: C =_______________
B) how many hour would you have to rent the court so that the monthly cost of option 1, is less than option 2. Set up an inequality and show your work algebraically using the information in part A.

when is the cost for option 1. less than cost for option 2.?

The way to test this is try x = 14.01 and plug this into the two
original equations. Option 1. should still be cheaper.
Then try x = 13.99. Now option 1. should be slightly greater than
option 2.
