Question 108938: How do I do a linear equation of
a+d=100
1.00a+1.50=120
can you give me the steps to do so.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1.a%2Bd=100
2.1.00a%2B1.50=120
First, are you missing the variable d from equation 2???
Use equation 2 to solve for a, then substitute that value into equation 1.
Hopefully this points you in the right direction.
