Question 1014050: How to tell if the equation has one solution no solution or if it has infinite solution without using a graph?
Answer by fractalier(6550)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If one eqn can be transformed into another, they represent the same line and have infinite solutions.
If two eqns have the same slope, they are parallel, and have no solution.
If neither of those cases are true, then the equations have one distinct solution.
