Question 943538: Hello Tutor,
I am struggling in my Chemistry 101 class with conversions. Do you think you may be able to help? The problem is 'The density of sulfuric acid is 1.84 g/mL. What volume of this acid will weigh 197 g?'
Thank you,
Devin

Answer by macston(5194)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1.84g/ml 197 g
If you have weights that each weigh two grams, how many would it take to make 10 grams?
Number required=total weight /weight of each=10 g / 2 g=5 weights
The problem above asks how many milliliters that each weigh 1.84 grams equals 197 grams so
Number required=total weight/weight of each=197 g/ 1.84 grams/ml=107.1 ml ANSWER
