Answer by CubeyThePenguin(3113)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x = your age
y = daughter's age

x = 3y
x + 12 = 2(y + 12)

Substitute x = 3y into the second equation.

3y + 12 = 2(y + 12)
3y + 12 = 2y + 24
y = 12

Your daughter is 12 and you are 36.
