Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Method #1:
Multiply 3.5 cm by (1 m/100 cm) to get
(3.5 cm)*(1 m/100 cm) = 3.5/100 m = 0.035 m
-------------------------------------------------------
Method #2:
100 cm = 1 m
1 cm = 1/100 m
1 cm = 0.01 m
3.5*1 cm = 3.5*0.01 m
3.5 cm = 0.035 m
which is the same answer.
