I know that 1 mile = 5280 ft A square that is 1 mile on each side is 5280 ft on each side 1 mile2 = ft2 Now I can multiply the ratio ft2/mile2 by 7000 mile2, I get: ft2/mile2 x mile2 Notice that the mile2 cancel, and you are left with ft2 Now just do the calculation
