volume is the product, all in the same units (ft^3)
8*2*2.5 in feet or 40 ft^3
surface area is sum of twice each possible paired product (ft^2)
that is 2*(8*2)+2(2*2.5)+2(8*2.5)=
2(16+5+20)=82 ft^2.
