divide both sides of this equation by 5280 and you get:
1 / 5280 miles = 1 foot

1 hour is equal to 3600 seconds.
divide both sides of this equation by 3600 and you get:
1 second is equal to 1 / 3600 hours.
therefore 1100 feet / 1 second is equivalent to (1100 / 5280) miles / (1 / 3600) hours.
this is equivalent to saying (1100 / 5280) / (1 / 3600) miles per hour.
perform the arithmetic to get 750 miles per hour.
