Question 1140244: Using dimensional analysis perform 3.8 pounds to ounces
and $425 per day to dollars per minute
I can't find any helpful videos. Still looking but I can't and the notes say two different things. Waiting for my teacher to email me as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

the simplest way to do this is to substitute from the measure you have to the measure you want.
in your first problem, you have 3.8 pounds that you want to convert to ounces.
since you know that 1 pound = 16 ounces, then 3.8 pounds is equal to 3.8 * 16 ounces which is equal to 60.8 ounces.
in your second problem, you want to convert 425 dollars per day into dollars per minute.
1 day is equal to 24 hours and 24 hours is equal to 24 * 60 = 1440 minutes.
therefore 425 dollars per day is equal to 425 dollars per 1440 minutes.
you get 425 / 1440 = .2951388889 dollars per minute.
