convert 5.56 x 10^7 cubic feet to cubic inches?
we know 1 feet = 12 inches
1 cubic feet = 12 cubic inch= 12x12x12 cubic inch= 1728 cubic inch
5.56x10^7 cubic feet = 1728x5.56x10^7= 9607.68x10^7
further converting into international scientific notation =9.607x10^10
again rounding off value =9.61x10^10

1 foot is 12 inches, but you use this three times because you have a cubic measure to convert.
