At the back of the book, it says the answer is y=-4
I have no idea how to get that.

Question 29190: Please help me simplfy the following complex fraction:
(3/(2+x)-4/(2-x))/(1/(x+2)-3/(x-2))
I am having trouble with the method. The method I was using I came up with
(-7x-2(x-2))/((2-x)-2x-8). When I checked with the solver on this web site I came up with something totally different.

Question 29384: I think this is the right section, I have a question that's been bothering me for a while. Here it is:
The college bookstore sells three types of graphing calculators (GC1, GC2, and GC3). They have a total of 40 calculators to sell. The total amount of revenue (exclude tax) that the bookstore would receive is $3,590. The lowest price calculator, GC1, is $75 less than the most expensive type GC3. Find the price of each type of calculator.
I tried to do it in a three variable system, like I'm supposed to, but I'm having trouble coming up with the third equation. I got A + B + C = 40 and A = C - 75, but I can't get the other one. Please help.
