Question 246256: Find the complex number z = a + bi such that z^3= 2 + 2i where a is less than or equal to 0 and b is greater than or equal to 0.
I really don't know how to approach this question but I'm guessing you have to use the definition (a + bi)(c + di) = (ac-bd)+(ad+bc)i?

Question 252093: *i tried to put this in the geometry category for pythagreon thereom but for some reason it wouldnt let me
The hypotenuse of a right triangle is 2cm longer than one leg and 4cm longer then the other.
a.draw and label a diagram
- i attempted to do this and i got the hypotenuse to be 4x and one leg to be 2x and the other to be x
b.let x represent the length of the hypotenuse. Use the pythagreon thereom to write an equation to solve for x.
-i used a squared + b squared=c squared and got 2x squared plus x squared= 4x squared, i was not sure if this was correct but i had to make an attempt
c. find the solutions from the equation in part b.
- i tried to solve for x but i got zero which cant be right because if you plug it into the equation you get zero for all the sides which would make this whole question pointless
help would be very appreciated
