Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Square root (15-2x)=x
------
Square both sides to get:
15-2x = x^2
Rearrange:
x^2+2x-15=0
Factor:
(x+5)(x-3) = 0
x = -5 or x=3
-----------------
Checking:
If x=-5, sqrt(15+10) = -5
sqrt(25) = -5
Wrong
x = -5 is not a solution
------------------
If x=3, sqrt(15-6) = 3
sqrt(9) = 3
3 = 3
Good
--------------
Final solution: x=3
