Question 815161: if x=1+i,where i=(-1)^1\2,then x^5 is?please tell the answer
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
if x=1+i,where i=(-1)^1\2,then x^5 is?please tell the answer
----------
x^2 = (1+i)^2 = 1 + 2i - 1 = 2i
x^4 = (2i)^2 = -4
x^5 = -4*(1+i) = -4-4i
---------
Is there some reason you couldn't do that?
