first you change the division into a multiplication because:
(a/b) / (c/d) = (a/b) * (d/c)
then you multiply the first fraction by 2n/2n and the second fraction by n/n.
you are using the associative law of multiplication to do this.
after this is done yuo are left with fractions that can be factored further to simplify them.
once simplified, the common terms in the numerator and the denominator can be canceled out and you are left with the simplified answer.
