factor the first equation, and make it a multiplication by finding the reciprocal of the second equation;

Factor where you can and invert the denominator and multiply to get:
[(y+4)^2 / y]
=[(y+4)^2/y((y+4)]
=cancel the (y+4) that is common to numerator and denominator to get:
=(y+4)/y
