Question 683347: Find all real numbers x and y that satisfy the equation: -2x - 4 + 2yi = 3x - 2i

Separate the equation into the real parts and imaginary parts. For imaginary parts, ignore the i.

Equation 1 (real parts only): -2x -4 =3x ---> -4 = 5x ---> -4/5 = x

Equation 2 (imaginary parts only, ignoring the i): 2y = -2 ---> y=-1

Plug those back into the original equation to prove they work. They do.
