Question 679765: Dividing Complex numbers: The question:
(5-6i)(4+7i)/(2+i)(5-6i) I tried multiplying the numerator and denominator to get a single term and got an answer of 915+610i. Then I tried multiplying the conjugate of 2+i with the same results. What am I missing? The answer key says the answer is 5+6i. How do I do this type of problem? I would appreciate the steps as I have others and need an example to follow.
Much appreciated.
