Find the equation if the roots are
1+ or - 3i/2
If 1+(3/2)i is a root, (x-1-(3/2)i) is a factor
If 1-(3/2)i is a root, (x-1+(3/2)i) is a factor
These factors are arranged in the form (a-b)(a+b)
whose product is a^2-b^2. So you get:
y=((x-1)-(3/2)i)((x-1)+(3/2)i)
y=[(x-1)^2 - (3/2 i)^2]
y=[x^2-2x+1+(9/4)]
y=[x^2-2x+13/4]
or
y=(1/4)x^2-(1/2)x+13
