.375X-.5Y=1
.2X+.6Y=4 NOW MULTIPLY EQUATION 1 BY .6 & THE SECOND EQUATION BY .5 A& ADD
.225X-.3Y=.6
.1X+.3Y=2
----------------------------
.325X=2.6
X=2.6/.325
X=8 SOLUTION. NOW SUBSTITUTE 8 FOR X IN EITHER EQUATON & SOLVE FOR Y
.2*8+.6Y=4
1.6+.6Y=4
.6Y=4-1.6
.6Y=2.4
Y=2.4/.6
Y=4 SOLUTION
PROOF
.375*8-.5*4=1
3-2=1
1=1
3-4=1
