Question 548088: Good Evening ,
I honestly didn't know what category this problem would be under. The problem is asking me to solve by elemination. The problem is 4x-3y=11
3x-5y=-11
both equations are suppose to be under the other one and its one problem not two.
Thank you for your time (:

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
By elimination. The problem is
4x-3y=11.............(1)
3x-5y=-11............(2)
Multiply (1) by 3 and (2) by 4 then subtract (2) from (1)
12x-9y=33.............(1)
-12x%2B20y=44............(2)
------------------
11y=77
Divide by 11 both sides of above equation
11y%2F11=77%2F11
cross%2811%29y%2Fcross%2811%29=cross%2877%29%2Fcross%2811%29
y=7
Put the value of y in (1)
4x-3y=11.............(1)
4x-3%287%29=11
4x-21=11
4x=11%2B21
4x=32
Divide by 4 both sides of above equation
4x%2F4=32%2F4
cross%284%29x%2Fcross%284%29=cross%2832%29%2Fcross%284%29
x=8
(x,y)=(8,7)

Put the value of x and y in (1)
4x-3y=11.............(1)
4%288%29-3%287%29=11
32-21=11
11=11
Put the value of x and y in (2)
3x-5y=-11............(2)
3%288%29-5%287%29=-11
24-35=-11
-11=-11
