You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since -10-5i is in standard form a%2Bbi, we can see that a=-10 and b=-5

abs%28a%2Bbi%29=sqrt%28a%5E2%2Bb%5E2%29 Start with the absolute value of a complex number formula.

abs%28-10-5i%29=sqrt%28%28-10%29%5E2%2B%28-5%29%5E2%29 Plug in a=-10 and b=-5.

abs%28-10-5i%29=sqrt%28100%2B%28-5%29%5E2%29 Square -10 to get 100.

abs%28-10-5i%29=sqrt%28100%2B25%29 Square -5 to get 25.

abs%28-10-5i%29=sqrt%28125%29 Add.

abs%28-10-5i%29=5%2Asqrt%285%29 Simplify the square root.

So the answer is abs%28-10-5i%29=5%2Asqrt%285%29
