Question 484484: x/2+3/8=7

Answer by Helper747(1)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Is this problem mutiply across so take 3*x=3x then mutiplay the bottom 2*8=16 so now you have 3x/16=7. Now mutiply both sides by 16. the 16 on the right side cancels out and 7*16=112. Now you have 3x=112...divid both sides by 3. Now x=37.333333333333....... Most likly they will have you round so if it saids round to the nearest tenth it would be 37.3 or to the nearest hunderdth 37.33. Hope this helps :)
