Question 402315: Which of the following are complex numbers ? 5 , 3i , 1 , 2i . Explain your answer .

All of them are of the form A + Bi and are therefore complex numbers.
The 0's just aren't usually written when A or B happens to equal 0.

 5 = 5 + 0i

3i = 0 + 3i

1  = 1 + 0i

2i = 0 + 2i
