Question 376035: Hi,
My question is about complex numbers. My problem is as follows: -2i / 6 + 5i
I understand the first step is to multiply by the denominator's conjugate (I think). This would be 6 - 5i. My work shows: -12i + 10i^2 / 36 - 10i^2
Following that: -12i - 10 / 46
(I turned
the -10i^2, in the denominator, into +10. I am unsure if this is correct.)
Finally: -6i - 5 / 23
I apologize for typing a lot here; I only attempt to be clear with my problem and show my work. Thanks!

-2i/(6+5i)
multiply by the conjugate
..
-2i((6-5i)/36-25i^2
-12i+10i^2/61
-12i/61 +10i^2/61
-0.19672131147i -0.1639344266
