I'll do the first one to get you started. Please only post one problem at a time.

Start with the given equation

Divide both sides by 3

Break up the absolute value (remember, if you have , then or )

or Set the expression equal to the original value 4 and it's opposite -4

Now lets focus on the first equation

Add 5 to both sides

Combine like terms on the right side

Now lets focus on the second equation

Add 5 to both sides

Combine like terms on the right side
