Select the "a+bi" that is 7 lines from the top

Notice that "i" is above the decimal point button.

Practise: (2+3i)(2-3i) = 13
(2+3i)(2+3i) = -5+12i

Press MODE Press the down arrow 6 times until you scroll down to the line that says REAL a+bi re^qi Press the right arrow to highlight a+bi Press ENTER Press 2ND Press MODE Now the calculator will allow you to do complex numbers. (It will still do all the ordinary operations as always, so you can just leave it in the a+bi mode forever. To type the number i, Press 2ND then Press . (that's the "period" or "decimal" key, the middle key on the very bottom row) Edwin
