so you have only it is cubed root instead of square root (I am just not sure how to get the 3 in place for the 2) it doesn't really matter anyways because we are going to get rid of them shortly! :)
move over to the right side of the equation and you get
Now cube both sides and you get You should be able to solve it from here.

------------------
cbrt(4+6t) = 3*cbrt(1-8t)

Raise both sides to the 3rd power
---
4+6t = 27(1-9t)
4+6t = 27 - 243t
249t = 23
t = 23/249

I think this is what you are describing:



Add the opposite of second term to both sides:



Raise both sides to the 3 power:



When you raise a root to the same power as its index,
you take away the root and the exponent and just
leave what's underneath:
