Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Begin by subtracting Ph from each side:
S-Ph = 2B
Then, divide by 2:
I have a couple of sections on this topic on my own website. You can find it by clicking on my tutor name "Rapaljer" anywhere in algebra.com. Look near the top of my homepage for "Basic, Intermediate, and College Algebra: One Step at a Time". Choose "Basic Algebra", and look in Chapter 3 for a topic, Section 3.07 called "Literal Equations." I also have a slightly more advanced section on this in Intermediate Algebra in Chapter 2, Section 2.07. My explanations are written for students who have trouble with math to understand. A lot of these problems are also solved in my "MATH IN LIVING COLOR" pages. I hope this is helpful to you!
