Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-2 + (the square root of 9-5x)> or equal to 6?
:
-2 + >= 6
add 2 to both sides
>= 6 + 2
>= 8
square both sides:
9 - 5x => 64
:
-5x => 64 - 9
:
-5x => 55
we want the variable(x) to be positive, mult both sides by -1
this reverses the inequality sign
5x =< -55
x =<
x =< -11

Check solution in original equation
-2 + = 6
-2 + = 6
-2 + = 6
