Question 14200: 1/4c+2/3d=6
3/4c-5/3d=-4
Answer by rahman(247) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Suppose: x=1/4c and y=1/3d
Such we get the equations:
x+2y=6 ........(1)
3x-5y=-4 ......(2)
Use elimination method:
x+2y=6 --------------->multiply with 3
3x-5y=-4
---------------------------------------------
3x+6y=18
3x-5y=-4
-------- -
11y=22
y=22/11=2
Substitute y = 2 to (1):
x+2y=6
x+2(2)=6
x+4=6
x=6-4
x=2
Substitute x=2 to x=1/4c:
x=1/4c
Substitute y=2 to y=1/3d:
y=1/3d
Thus, and
