I have absolutely no idea what the other person is referring to, by this: (a + bi)(2 + 3i). Anyway, the multiplicative inverse of 2 + 3i is its RECIPROCAL, or .
However, you'd then need to RATIONALIZE its denominator. If you don't know what I'm talking about, let me know and I'll explain the steps to get to the answer, which by the way, is CORRECT.

The answer to this problem is 1/2+3i
However, if the problem wants the answer in the simplest form (meaning that no i variable should be left on the denominator side. You will have to performs 1/2+3i times 2-3i/2-3i. This should lead you to get 2-3i/ 4-9i^2. i^2= -1
2-3i/4+9= 2-3i/13
Answer in simplest form: 2-3i/13
