Not sure what Z[i] means...I assume it refers to a certain complex number z, z=a+bi.
Also not sure what "not a unit in" means...I assume it to be like "z is not a unit complex number", which means its magnitute a^2+b^2≠1.
So we can only conclude that a^2+b^2≠1 instead of .
