Question 1061952: I really need help with putting these two equations into f (x) form. I've been stuck on them for days and have no idea how to graph them.
1st equation: p=(5+0.5n)*(1200-100n)
2nd equation: p=(50-2n)(0.65+0.05x)
Thank you so much!

Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
to put them into f(x) form, just replace n with x and p with f(x) and you have it.

you will get:

f(x) = (5 + .5x) * (1200 - 100x)

f(x) = (50 - 2x) * (.65 + .05x)

you can graph them as is, or you can convert the equations to standard quadratic form and graph them.

either way, you'll get the same graph for the same equation.

the first two pictures are from the first equation.

the second two pictures are from the second equation.
