: -2(x^2 - 3)^-3(2x)(x + 1)^3 - 3(x + 1)^2(x^2 - 3)^-2
______________________________________________________
[(x + 1)^3]^2
how do i simplify this expression?
so far, i got:
(x^2 - 3)^-3[(x^2 - 3)^1 - 2(2x)(x + 1)^2]
___________________________________________
[(x + 1)^3]^2
(x^2 - 3)^-3[(x^2 - 3) - 4x]
______________________________
(x + 1)^3

Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
[(x + 1)^3]^2
=(x+1)^6
= x^6 + 6C5x^5 + 6C4x^4 + 6C3x^3 + 6C2x^2 + 6C1x + 1
= x^6 + 6x^5 + 15x^4 + 20x^3 + 15x^2 + 6x + 1
