Question 122425: Okay, I am taking Algebra again after a 10 year lapse. The following question is really messing with me. The only way I know to solve it is to substitue the numbers in to find the highest? I am not sure if I have found all of the combinations doing that or not. By doing only that I came up with 9 as my answer?
The values of a, b, c, and d are 0, 1, 2, and 3, although not necessarily in that order. What is the maximum value of the expression: c • a b – d ?
