Take 2(3x-16)* x=4 first
(6x - 32)*x = 4
6x^2 -32x = 4
subtract 4 from each side
6x^2 -32x - 4 = 0

Now solve 2( -(3x-16) ) *x = 4
(-6x + 32 )*x = 4
-6x^2 +32x = 4
