Consider it to have a denominator of 1:



To get a factor with a negative exponent positive, move base 
and exponent from the numerator to the denominator, (or vice-versa)
and change the exponent to positive:

We move the d-2 from numerator to denominator and
change the negative exponent to positive and we have d2
in the denominator:



We move the e-1 from numerator to denominator and
change the negative exponent to positive and we have e1
in the denominator: 



We can eliminate the 1's, leaving them understood:
