Question 852738: Interval Notation with steps if possible.
|13-5x|≤17

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
|13-5x|≤17

-17 ≤ 13-5x ≤ 17

-17-13 ≤ -5x ≤ 17-13

-30 ≤ -5x ≤ 4

-30/(-5) ≥ x ≥ 4/(-5) ... Note: the inequality signs flip when you divide all sides by a negative number.

6 ≥ x ≥ -4/5

-4/5 ≤ x ≤ 6 ... rearrange the inequality (smallest to largest)

So the answer in interval notation is [-4/5, 6]
