Question 78681: Please solve. |x-2| >= -4
I tried and got X >- -2 or X <= 6

Answer by rapaljer(4671)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
|x-2| >= -4

Since this absolute value is being compared to a NEGATIVE number, the methods that you probably learned for POSITIVE numbers does NOT apply!! You will have to think about this one. If you take an absolute value of ANYTHING, it will ALWAYS be positive or zero. It will never be negative. Therefore, whatever value of x you place in the absolute value, the result will ALWAYS be greater than or equal to -4.

Final answer: All Real Values or (-inf, inf)
