Question 777438: Solve the equation.
8|x + 13| + 12 = 4
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
 8|x + 13| + 12 = 4
8|x + 13| = 4 - 12
8|x + 13| = -8
|x + 13| = -8/8
|x + 13| = -1
Since the absolute value of any number is NEVER negative, this means that the last equation has NO solutions.
So the original equation has NO solutions.
